Squirrel's RC18 Truggy V3.0 tek18X Build Project

Do NOT be fooled by the aluminum on this kit! It is lighter than most racers out there. Want proof? Go to the forum and look up the pics. I have the racer kit that I show in this vid next to the project build and it is .02 lbs lighter with all that alum. This one does incorporate the new exotek tek18x kit with the extended chassis for added length and stability. This system is truely the best out there with the mamba sidewinder brushless system. I am using a 6800kv and used to use a 8000kv This is a review on my project 1/18th scale truggy build after completion. Changes have been made to it since (like a exotech chassis) but it is still a sweet ride with the old. this build has a mamba series (sidewinder now) 8000kv motor and also a 6800kv motor and esc. This trugg has a exotech cf chassis now but used to run straight apogee 2s and 3s packs before going to a saddle pack requirement. being a buggy to truggy conversion for the AE rc18t rc18b series, it has the rpm wheels and rims that help sustain the terrain that it will hit. The aluminum is solid Full Force RC FFRC that is extremely durable and adds length to the 18t and 18b. the kyosho mini inferno wing also helps with the down force of the kit for control at 60mph This is a review of the 3rd revision of the epic mini that started alot of trends. Kyosho MFR Nitro Monster Truck
The MFR is the latest in the nitro-powered 4WD monster truck, and this one is packing the vast experience of Kyosho designers with more than 30 years of nitro racing experience. The MFR features a rugged yet lightweight designed that's powered by high-performance 3.0cc nitro-burning engine - the GXR18. The engine includes an on-board electric starter, which makes starting easier. Full independent suspsension features high-capacity Big Bore shocks to absorb the bumps. A two speed transmission provides strong bottom end pulling power when in first gear, but when it automatically switches to 2nd gear, the speed evelope is extended to hit speeds up to 40 mph. A transmission mounted disc brakes gives the MFR strong and consistent stopping power. A new QRC gearbox is included, which features forward, reverse, and a unique neutral feature. The gears are selected via a third channel on the transmitter. Selecting neutral allows easy starting and warm-up because the truck will remain stationary until a forward or reverse gear is selected. The gearbox also features all metal gears, which combined with the metal gears in the rest of the drivetrain, makes for a super-durable drive system. the MFR comes complete factory assembled. Simply apply some decals, install optional AA-batteries, and then pour in your choice of 20-percent nitro fuel and you're ready to go. The lightweight MFR is among the lightest monster trucks ever made, which gives it added performance over the heavier competition.
